Prof. Chang-Ying Zhao, Dean of the China-UK Low Carbon College of Shanghai Jiao Tong University, was awarded the “Prominent Research Award” at the Micro Flow and Interfacial Phenomena Conference (µFIP 2024), for his significant contributions to the field of micro and nanoscale heat transfer, thermal radiation, and advanced energy storage and hydrogen storage.
Established in 2013, the µFIP "Prominent Research Award" honors researchers with significant research record in the field of flow or interfacial transport phenomena at the mini-, micro- and nanoscale, and whose vision has been instrumental in advancing an area pertinent to the scope of the conference.
To date, it has been awarded to 12 scholars worldwide, including Prof. Evelyn Wang, Member of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences, former Head of the Department of Mechanical Engineering at MIT, Prof. Sushanta Mitra, Fellow of the Canadian Academy of Engineering and Director of the Nanotechnology Institute at the University of Waterloo, and Prof. Srinivas Garimella of Georgia Institute of Technology.
