In 2008, I got my PhD Degree from School of Environmental Science & Engineering, Shanghai Jiao Tong University. I worked as postdoctor in State Key Laboratory of Pollution Control and Resources Reuse, College of Environmental Science and Engineering, Tongji University. From 2013 to 2014, I conducted research in University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and and University of Edinburgh as visiting scholar.

Recent years I has implemented 2 projects from National Natural Science Foundation and participated in a number of national and provincial projects such as national key S&T Special Projects, China's 12th five-year plan for science and technology and the 13th five-year water project. Public welfare program from China’s Ministry of Environmental Protection. I was rewarded the Shanghai Jiaotong University morningstar young scholar B scholarship.

I have published about 30 SCI papers including ACS Sustain Chem. Eng., Chem. Eng. J., J. Hazar. Mater, Water Res., etc. I serve as a reviewer for multiple journals.
